Aurangabad, Oct 24:

Members of Coaching Classes Association (CCA) will stage a demonstration in front of district collector office at 27 places across the State on October 26 from 10 am to 5 pm, for their different demands including permission to re-start the classes from November 1, waiver one year’s loan, provide a status of industry to the classes to take out a loan.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, CCA State president Prof Pandurang Mandkikar said that around 40 to 45 per cent private coaching sector was affected due to financial problem in lockdown. Prof Dnyaneshwar Dhakhne said that corporate companies are making an entry in e-learning and self-employment started by education unemployed is at risk.

He said that only 20 per cent are running e-learning classes while 80 per cent coaching classes owners and staff are facing a financial crisis.MP Wagh sought permission to run the classes for the survival of private teachers.The association members said taking all measures, they would restart the classes from November 1 with an undertaking from parents if permission is not given.

“If action is taken against any classes owner, we will resort do self-immolation,” they said. Appasaheb Mhaske, Ajabrao Manwar, Vaishali Dak and others were present.Prof Prashant Bansod said that those who have no relation with education have created e-learning platform and started sponsoring IPL today.

“They turned it into a business. But, such type of people are less than five per cent. A total of 95 pc classes directors launched classes as self-unemployment. By paying taxes, classes directors are contributing to nation-building. This self-employment is at risk as its owners struggling for survival. The government should help them. Students from rural areas being ignored due to online education,” he asserted.
