A celebration of youthful expression unfolded at Lokmat Bhavan on Wednesday as the Lokmat Times Campus Club hosted the 18th edition of the Kaleidoscope Inter-School Championship, reaffirming the event’s stature as one of the city’s most awaited platforms for student creativity.

From imaginative storytelling to high-energy musical performances, students displayed remarkable confidence and discipline, turning the stage into a showcase of preparation, teamwork and artistic flair. In the primary section, Bhagyalaxmi Sarla Gursahani Memorial (BSGM) School secured the overall championship through consistent performances. On-stage events such as fairy-tale based dance, duet of rhythms and Hawaiian hula saw students from standards 1 to 5 captivate the audience with expressive movements, coordination and stage presence reflecting structured training and creative mentoring at the grassroots level.

The secondary category raised the tempo and scale of competition. Students from standards 6 to 10 impressed with visually compelling dance dramas and electrifying rock band performances. Strong thematic execution, synchronisation and confidence marked the acts, underscoring the growing maturity and professionalism among young performers. The secondary championship was jointly claimed by Nath Valley School and BSGM School, following a tightly fought contest.

Judges Namita Mohite, Sachi Jiwane, Prutha Pathak, Dilip Khanderay, Dr Shaikh Aslam Yunus, Abhishek Sangle and Nishant Morkhandikar observed that deciding winners was particularly challenging due to the uniformly high standard of performances across schools. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, recognising not only the winners but also the collective efforts of students, teachers and organisers in fostering a culture of creativity and healthy competition.
