Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The City District Congress Committee today staged a demonstration against the Central Government for taking action against the party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi and the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi, out of malice and vengeance. The agitation was conducted in front of the District Collectorate.

The agitators underlined that the Narendra Modi-led government seized the properties of the National Herald Newspaper with political hatred and filed bogus chargesheets against Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and other veteran party leaders. They alleged that the Central Government is misusing its power openly.

The vicinity of the district collectorate echoed with the slogans of agitators - ‘ Modi Go Back; Nahi Chalegi-Nahi Chalegi - Hukumshahi Nahi Chalegi; BJP Hay Hay etc.

The agitation was led by the City President, Shaikh Yusuf was participated by general secretary of state Congress Dr Zafar Ahmed Khan, Kiran Patil Dongaonkar, Bhausaheb Jagtap, Sandeep Borse, Ibrahim Pathan, Iqbal Singh Gill, Adv Syed Akram, Kanchan Kumar Chate, Anis Patel, Arun Shirsat, Deepali Misal, Samina Tadvi, Mudassir Ansari, and many other office-bearers, activists and workers.
