Unseasonal rain, hailstorms, and strong winds on April 2 and 3 caused major crop and property damage across the district. Rabi crops like wheat, maize, chickpeas, onions, garlic, vegetables, and flowers were damaged. Fruit orchards including grapes, mangoes, and pomegranates also suffered losses. Fodder and electricity poles were affected, disrupting power in several areas.

The Congress urged swift assessment and financial assistance. The memorandum was signed by Dr. Kalyan Kale, Kiran Dongaonkar, Jagannath Kale, Bhausaheb Shejul, Sandeep Borse, Santosh Shejul, Rahul Sawant, Vitthal Korde, Gajanan Mate, Sandeep Tupe, Savta Gadekar, Shyam Pofale, and others.
