Congress leaders and activists today staged a dharna at the district collectorate to register their protest against anti-farmer bills and extended support to the farmers, who are agitating against these bills in Delhi. The agitators staged a dharna at Chandane Chowk, and then submitted a memorandum.

The agitation was participated by party''s district president Kalyan Kale, city president Hisham Osmani, district president (women wing) Surekha Pankade, tehsil president Ramu Kaka Shelke, GSA Ansari, Pawan Dongre, Arun Shirsaat, Hamad Chaus, Adv Iqbal Singh Gill, Jaiprakash Narnaware, Santosh Bhigare, Mohit Jadhav,

Adv Sandeepan Narwate, Shaikh Athar, Santosh Kumar Didwale, Sandeep Shirsaat, Subhash Deokar, Khaled Pathan, Seema Thorat, Kaiser Baba, Sumedh Nimgaonkar, Muzaffar Khan Pathan, M A Azhar, Vithal Korde, Ramesh Rathod, Baburao Kawaskar, Subhash Patil Pandbhare, Bhagwan Mate, Sahebrao Bankar and others.

The agitators shouted slogans like ''Rahul Gandhi Tum Aage Bado Hum Tumhare Saath Hain'' and '' Kisano Ke Sanman Mein Congress Maidan Mein'' etc.
