Staying in our comfort zone feels like safety. Everything is going well, why rock the boat. But the problem with that is by staying put your boat really doesn’t know where it could go.

Stepping out and meeting people inspires, reassures and definitely does redirect.

A runner at the Pune MahaMarathon walked upto me, excitedly sharing her journey. She ran her first- ever marathon with us and today she has completed several runs including a 180km stadium run. If your jaw dropped, am not surprised. I had the same reaction. I have been behind on my cardio goals, she gave me the inspiration to go ahead and start.

At lunch, I got a chance to confabulate with some inspiring women. Their work, a blend of flavours and pure human passion, left me awestruck. One courageously defending and educating women and children, while the other boldly leading the hospitality industry. That lunch between four motivated women lasted three hours over only some soup. The conversation was so fulfilling.

Am sitting here thinking of how many opportunities to connect we let slide by because we feel lethargic to leave. The choice is always tough, leave the comforts and go towards growth or stay and enjoy how far we’ve come. While both are fair choices, none more correct, stepping out and meeting new minds can really be the best motivation one needs.

Ideas spark, energy is renewed and you experience this pure joy that one can only get through connection. Am feeling all of the above now. Thrilled for Pune MahaMarathon happening today and to head home with a head full of ideas.
