Aurangabad, June 10:

The second Corona wave deminished almost after three months in the Aurangabad istrict. The daily patients tally has come down to less than 150. In the city, it is less than 50 patients The deaths due to Corona have also reduced and the number of deaths in the district has gone below 10 deaths daily. The maximum deaths are reported in the Gangapur tehsil and minimum in the Soyegaon tehsil.

The total number of patients in the rural areas in the district has reached over 57,000 in the past 14 months while 1415 deaths have been reported so far. The death rate in the rural areas is 1.5 percent. Many patients come from the rural areas to the city for treatment while many patients were admitted in the hospitals in the advanced stages. Hence, the danger of deaths increased.

Maximum patients were reported in Aurangabad tehsil numbering to around 12,672 while the minimum patients were in Soyegaon tehsil. More than 200 deaths were just in Gangapur, Kannad, Sillod and Paithan tehsils each. Out of the total deaths in the district, 42.86 percent deaths are in rural areas. The total deaths in the district till Wednesday were 3301, of which 1886 are from the city while 1415 from the rural areas.

In all, 242 deaths were reported in Gangapur, 210 in Kannad, 208 in Paithan, 199 in paithan, 168 in Vaijapur, 88 in Phulambri, 54 in Khuldabad and 38 in Soyegaon.

District health office, Dr Sudhakar Shelke said the death of the Corona deaths is done, from which, the reasons of deaths are known. Along with Covid, severe diseases are also one of the reasons for deaths. The patients should go to the hospital in early stages, so that the treatment can be done. Training is given to the concerned to refer the patients immediately, he said.
