Covid cases declining in Beed district, 111 found positive on Tuesday

Due to successful implementation of the norms laid down by the health department, the number of Covid-19 patients has been declining in Beed district of Marathwada. In all, 111 Covid-19 positive patients were found on Tuesday, according to the official report.

The report said that a total 653 swab samples were forwarded for testing. Of these 653 swab samples, 111 tested positive and 542 were negative.

Tehsil-wise Covid-19 positive patients found on Tuesday are as follows: Ambejogai 4, Ashti 8, Beed 40, Dharur 13, Gevrai 1, Kaij 5, Majalgaon 6, Parli Vaijnath 10, Patoda 14, Shirur Kasar 6 and Wadwani 4. In all, 118 patients recovered and were discharged from the hospitals on Monday.

Three Covid-19 positive patients died while undergoing treatment on Monday. A 65-year-old woman from Beed town, a 60-year-old man from Dongarkinhi in Patoda tehsil and a 66-year-old woman from Majalgaon town died while undergoing treatment on Monday. So far 306 have succumbed to Covid-19 in the district. The health department informed that 1,789 beds are available in the different Covid-19 hospitals in the district. People should not panic.
