Aurangabad, Nov 14:

The crackers sale at the Waluj Mahanagar decreased due to the Corona crisis, and the permission to use only green crackers, informed the crackers retailers. However, the cracker markets were filled with customers since afternoon, which brought smiles to the sellers'' faces.

Crackers are an integral part of the Diwali celebrations. However, the past two days of Diwali was unenthusiastic as the administration restricted the use of crackers this year due to the Corona crisis. The government has granted permission to use only green crackers to avert pollution. Hence, the crackers were sold in less quantity this year as compared to last year.

In all, 19 cracker stalls in Ranjangaon and 40 at Bajajnagar, Pandharpur, have been established in the Waluj MIDC police station jurisdiction. The retailers have brought the crackers from Ahmednagar, Jalgaon, and other districts. However, they have purchased less crackers this year due to the Corona crisis, said retailers Ansar Pathan, Ashok Kakde, Hurkhan Pathan, Afroz Qureshi, Mohaniraj Dhanwade, Shaikh Mujahed, Chaitanya Thole, Muzammil Shaikh, and others.
