Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

One year ago, the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC) announced the launching of 30 types of various services online. The online services were also inaugurated by the then-guardian minister. However, this initiative faced a setback. Now, once again, the administrator has announced the provision of 69 different services online to citizens. He has directed the officers to implement this from April 1.

The citizens often have to endure long waits at various municipal corporation offices even for the smallest tasks. For something as simple as a birth or death certificate, citizens are called after a month or more. It is reported that there is still a long waiting list for birth and death certificates at the ward offices. In reality, these services should be available to citizens from the comfort of their homes. However, this is not the case. A year ago, 30 services were launched online at Siddharth Garden. Now, once again, the civic administration has decided to make 69 services available online.

The administrator instructed that online applications for building permits should not be kept pending. Offline files should not be accepted at all. Each ward office should start its own "Apale Sarkar" centre from April 1. The municipal corporation's website should be updated, and it should contain complete information.

Complete the 100-day target

The administrator in a meeting, on Monday, with all heads of various sections informed that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has provided a detailed list of tasks to be completed within 100 days. These tasks must be carried out promptly, or else negative remarks will be made in the confidential reports of the respective department heads.

The administrator's last budget

The municipal corporation elections will be held in the coming days. Hence this will be the administrator's last annual budget. Therefore, the administrator has instructed that this budget should include more innovative schemes and focus on strengthening the Fire Brigade section.
