Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Under the 150-day e-Governance reform programme initiated by the state government, the final performance evaluation of all government offices in Maharashtra was conducted by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). In this assessment, the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Divisional Commissioner’s office secured the second position in the state.
The achievement is attributed to regular departmental reviews, effective use of e-office systems, and citizen-centric decision-making processes. The evaluation, announced on Republic Day, examined performance across seven parameters: office websites, the Apale Sarkar system, e-office usage, office dashboards, WhatsApp chatbots, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and Geographic Information System (GIS) technology in official work.
In recognition of this success, divisional commissioner Jitendra Papalkar congratulated all departmental heads, officers, and staff members.
Collective efforts yield results
Divisional Commissioner Jitendra Papalkar said, “The 150-day e-Governance initiative has made government work more transparent, efficient, and technology-driven. The performance is a result of collective efforts by all officers and staff in the department. Going forward, the administration plans to continue leveraging new technologies to enhance citizen-centric governance.”
Dharashiv and Latur district collectorates among top five
The performance of district collectorates was also evaluated under the 150-day programme. Dharashiv and Latur collectorates were recognised among the top five in the state, with the Dharashiv office led by collector Kirti Kiran Pujar and the Latur office under collector Varsha Thakur receiving state-level appreciation.
‘Sevakarmi Plus’ programme recognises nine municipalities
Under the administrative reform programme ‘Sevakarmi Plus’ officers’ and staff performance was assessed across municipalities. Out of 17 selected municipalities in the state, nine are from Marathwada. These include:
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district: Sillod
Latur district: Udgir, Ahmedpur, Nilanga, Ausa
Dharashiv district: Kalamb, Tuljapur, Lohara, Naldurg
These municipalities were commended for their service delivery improvements and administrative efficiency under the programme.
