Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Following allegations that a forged hibanama (gift deed) was prepared by the driver of MP Sandipan Bhumare in an attempt to claim compensation for acquired land meant for the Samruddhi Expressway, Bhumare decided to file a ₹1 crore defamation suit against him.

Reacting to the development, Uddhav Sena leader Ambadas Danve said on Saturday that if he receives a legal notice in the matter, he will issue a detailed reply.

Danve further said that he would present the alleged hibanama in the coming days. He claimed to have exposed an attempt to siphon off ₹1,150 crore in compensation related to the acquisition of land bearing Gut No. 174 (Survey No. 89) at Jogwada–Jatwada for the Samruddhi Expressway. According to him, this disclosure has saved a substantial amount of public money.

He added that a demand has been made to the government for a thorough inquiry into the matter.
