Unidentified thieves broke into a farmer’s locked house in Patsangvi village of Bhoom tehsil on Friday afternoon and stole Rs 3.22 lakh in cash.
The burglary took place at the residence of Vaibhav Nayakinde, creating fear and concern in the area. According to information, Nayakinde (Patsangvi), lives in a house located in his farmland. On Friday, he and his family had gone to work in the nearby field as usual. Taking advantage of the locked house, the thieves broke open the door lock and entered the premises. They ransacked the cupboard and stole Rs 3.22 lakh in cash. When the family returned after completing their work, they found the door lock broken. On entering the house, they discovered the cash missing from the cupboard. Police rushed to the spot after being informed and conducted a panchnama. A case has been registered against unidentified persons, is investigating the matter. Meanwhile, villagers have expressed concern over rising daylight thefts and questioned whether criminals still fear the police.
