Aurangabad, Dec 6:

The deaths of the Corona patients referred to the city from all over Marathwada and other places have crossed the century. In all, 117 such patients came from Jalna, Beed, Nanded and other districts have died so far.

In the district, the Corona patients'' death toll has reached 1275 in the past eight months. However, all these patients are not from the Aurangabad district but also from other districts of Marathwada region and other places. The number of patients referred to Aurangabad for treatment is enormous. The doctors take strenuous efforts to save their lives, but their mortality rate is more, the sources said.

The total number of patients who died in the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has reached 900 on Sunday. These patients also included from the other district. The patients are referred from Beed, Jalna, Nanded, Jalgaon, Buldhana, and other places at GMCH.

In all, 1158 patients from the Aurangabad district have died so far and the mortality rate due to Corona in the district is 2.64 percent. The mortality rate in the district has gone down in the past few days, which is relieving news for the residents.
