Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Social Justice Minister and District Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsat announced that the Government would soon take decisions regarding the various demands of inter-caste married couples. He was speaking at a programme organised by Baba Dalvi Vichar Manch at Vijendra Kabra Social Work College, Banjara Colony, recently.

The event is held annually on the death anniversary of journalist Baba Dalvi. A memorandum containing 18 demands was submitted to the Minister, with key emphasis on increasing the fund for inter-caste couples from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh.

Revoltionary songs were performed by singers Meena Salve, Sangeeta Dhanedhkar, and Shahir Rambhau Nikalje. Prashant Sathe conducted the proceedings of the programme. Principal Dr Satish Surana, President of Janshikshan Sansthan, presided over the event.

Dr Deepak Kharat, Deputy Commissioner of Social Justice, and Judge (retd) D R Shelke were the chief guests and addressed the gathering. Principal G H Rathod, K E Haridas, Ratankumar Pandagale and others were present.
