Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A shocking case emerged when a five- to six-month-old foetus, allegedly aborted by its parents, was found dumped in the garbage near the Cidco bus stop on February 4, following a foul smell that alerted locals.

Around 2.30 pm, residents noticed the stench near the toilet area, and a check revealed the foetus. MIDC Cidco police station’s assistant police inspector Bharat Pachole and enforcement officer Sanjaykumar Sable rushed to the scene. The foetus was taken to the hospital, where doctors confirmed it was dead. Police stated the foetus was male and around five to six months old. It appears the parents performed the abortion in a rural area and brought the foetus to the bus stop for disposal. With no CCTV in the area, the suspects remain unidentified. A case has been filed against unknown parents.
