Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The degree distribution and annual function of Dr Rafiq Zakaria College for Women was held with great enthusiasm and splendour.

College Principal Dr Maqdoom Farooqui. Farhat Jamal (President, Maulana Azad Education Society) presided over the function. Special Guests who were present included Pankaja M. Waghmare (Joint Director, Higher Education) and Sharmistha Gharge ( Deputy Commissioner of Police) and Arshad Shaikh (Director, Creative Architect).

Addressing the gathering, Farhat Jamal emphasised that women’s education goes beyond earning degrees; it nurtures self-reliance, confidence, and social responsibility.

He remarked that educated women are the foundation of a progressive nation and urged students to combine knowledge with moral values, leadership qualities, and positive thinking.

Dr Vidya Pradhan (Vice-Principal, Senior College), Tanay Paithankar (IQAC Coordinator), Seema Nusrat ( Vice-Principal, Junior College) and principals from various institutions were present. Nearly 200 students received their degrees in recognition of their academic excellence. The annual function featured vibrant cultural performances that enthralled the audience. Dr Nilofar Shakir conducted the proceedings.
