Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A delivery boy allegedly sold the two-wheeler entrusted to him by his employer and fled. The accused, Mohammad Patel (Lakholi, Nachankheda, Jalgaon district), has been booked at Vedantnagar police station.

Complainant Mustaq Pathan (33, Sadatnagar), an e-cart company vendor, had hired Patel as a delivery boy in July 2025 and allowed him to use his two-wheeler as Patel did not own one. While Pathan was out of town, Patel claimed the vehicle had been stolen but did not file a police complaint. CCTV checks later showed the vehicle was never parked at the spot. Patel later took additional money citing his grandmother’s illness and went to his village, after which he cut off contact. Pathan then realised the two-wheeler had been sold and the money misappropriated. Police are probing the case.
