As the number of corona-infected patients in the district is increasing, citizens have started taking preventive measures. Vendors say that the demand for sanitizers and masks has increased due to the possibility of a second wave of corona. However, now that over 1500-1700 patients are being infected with corona in the city every day, people are buying sanitizers and masks in large numbers.
It is seen that the public awareness done by the government and administration is creating awareness among the citizens, seeing the trouble caused to many, the use of masks and sanitizers has started in government and semi-government offices and at home. Citizens are beginning to adhere to the three-stage approach of using masks, social distance, and hand sanitizers. Sanitizers are being used mostly at public places. Most establishments have also started keeping sanitizers for public use. The number of corona patients in the district has been increasing since last month. As a result, awareness about corona started spreading in the district. Similarly, the administration is cracking down on the citizens without masks, so the fear of action has also increased use of masks. As a result, sales of masks and sanitizers are increasing and demand is also increasing, according to pharmacists.
Decrease in the price of masks
Initially, low production, high demand led to increase in prices of masks. Now that the production capacity has increased, the government has fixed the rates for masks. Accordingly N95 V shape mask is sold for Rs 19, N95 3D Rs 25, N95 without valve Rs 28, Magnum N95 cup size Rs 49, Venus CN 95, N95 cup size Rs 29, Venus CN 95, N95 cup size with valves Rs 37, Venus CN95, N956 RE-cup size without valve at Rs 29, FFP mask at Rs 12, 2 ply surgical mask with rope at Rs 3, 3 ply surgical mask at Rs 4 and doctor kit at Rs 127.
