Aurangabad, May 28:

The monsoon is expected to arrive in the state in the next few days and not only builders but also the citizens are waiting for the hardware shops to open to complete the pre-monsoon construction work.

Construction in the state was allowed to resume after a partial lockdown was declared, but the closure of hardware and construction materials shops has posed a number of problems for builders. The direct effect of the closure of shops resulted in a price hike of construction material and the common man will have to bear the cost of flats. On the other hand, the rainy season is just a few days and even though many items like steel, cement, tarpaulins are needed for pre-monsoon works, the shops of these items have not started yet. Therefore, it is expected that these shops should be started as soon as possible and important works like repairs should be completed before the monsoon. The district administration is also expected to take a decision in this regard. Many citizens also want to do minor repairs to their homes, but the work is pending because these shops are closed. Overall, it is being demanded that permission be given to start shops as soon as possible.
