Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Yuva Sena’s Students Wing of Marathwada demanded the immediate restoration of the Maratha Empire map in the Class 8 history textbook, brought out by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

Students' Wing office-bearer Nikhil Kakde submitted a memorandum to MP Shrikant Shinde during his city visit on Sunday, alleging that the map was removed from the textbooks intentionally.

It was stated in the memorandum that the Maratha Empire played a significant role in shaping India’s political and cultural history and its omission could leave students with an incomplete understanding. Over 50,000 people have already signed petitions.
