Marathwada Environmental Care Cluster (MECC) has taken initiative to make clean, beautiful and green Waluj MIDC. Under this initiative, it has been decided to plant trees on open plots in the industrial city and build dense forest with the help of MIDC, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) company and entrepreneurs.

MECC has taken the initiative to control the growing pollution in Waluj industrial area. Entrepreneurs associations in the industrial sector, companies, social organizations, MIDC and M&M have decided to plant trees on open plots in the industrial areas. Under this initiative, the land is being cleaned of garbage for planting trees. More than 50 species of native trees will be planted and will be nurtured.

For the last four to five years, the clean, beautiful and green MIDC initiative has been implemented in the Waluj area on behalf of the entrepreneurs association. Thousands of trees have been planted in the industrial area and have been looked after. Now the MECC has again emphasized the tree planting campaign to maintain the balance of the environment. MECC president Kamal Pahate, secretary Sanjay Kulkarni, vice president Ankush Lamture, Rajesh Mandhani, Ravindra Kondekar, MIDC executive engineer Bhushan Harshe, deputy engineer Sudhir Sutrave will be involved in the project.
