Deogiri engineering students achieve success at global level

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

A team from Deogiri College of Engineering has secured a place among the top three teams globally by winning an award in the ‘GovTech’ category at the ‘World Governments Summit-2026’ organised by Team SpoonShare, informed director Dr Subhash Lahane through a press release.

The results of the competition held in Dubai were recently announced, in which the team from Deogiri College won a bronze medal in Team SpoonShare. The team comprised Shubham Pitekar and Sanika Chavan. The team received a cash prize of USD 10,000.

Last year, the same team from the college had secured first rank at the national level and third rank globally in the Google Solution Challenge competition, winning a prize of USD 12,000.

The students were felicitated in the presence of institution’s general secretary MLC Satish Chavan, vice-president Shaikh Salim, treasurer Kiran Awargaonkar, executive members Vishwas Yelikar and Pradeep Chavan, and director Dr Subhash Lahane for their achievement.
