Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Veteran rural writer and literateur R R Borade was cremated in a sorrowful atmosphere at the crematorium in Cidco N-6 today evening. His funeral procession was taken out from his residence, 'Shivar' in Vidyaniketan Colony, at 4.30 pm. His nephew, Sanjeev Borade, performed the last rites and lit the pyre.
During the last rites, his daughters Prerna, Tripti, Manjushri, and Aruna, grandchildren, and other relatives were present. Shiv Sena leader Chandrakant Khaire, Chancellor of MGM University Ankushrao Kadam, Vice-President Dr P M Jadhav, President of Marathwada Sahitya Parishad, Principal Kautikrao Thale Patil, and Principal of Deogiri College Ashok Tejankar were among those who paid their respects.
