Guardian minister Subhash Desai inaugurated the ration and hygiene kits distribution scheme for the families of children studying in the Aurangabad of Municipal Corporation Balwadis (kindergarten) here today.

The KG children from Harsul, Jubilee Park and Naregaon were given kits as a symbolic inauguration. Desai highly appreciated this initiative and congratulated Canpack India and Annamrita Foundation who have taken up the responsibility for extending the nutrition support to children.

As reported earlier, about 3000 children of 90 KGs under the AMC will be given assistance.

The ration kits comprise wheat, rice, pulses, nutritious grains, spices, oil, soy nuts, soap, biscuits for about two months. These kits will be distributed to the attending parents of the children in the presence of teachers with proper verification.

MLC Ambadas Danve, district collector Sunil Chavan, municipal administrator Astik Kumar Pandey, deputy municipal commissioner Ravindra Nikam, education officer Thore, Aparna Thete,

senior officers of Canpack India Seema Chugh, Janardhan Kale, and Annamrita Foundation representative were present.
