Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) will organise a series of programmes from April 7 to 14 to mark the birth anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.

The Management Council, chaired by Vice-Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari, approved various decisions taken by the Student Development Board's Advisory Committee. Pro-VC Dr Walmik Sarwade, Registrar Dr Prashant Amrutkar, and other members were present.

It was decided that on April 14, the actual anniversary, only homage processions will be conducted. Lectures will be organised on the morning of April 13, followed by prize distribution ceremonies. The entire anniversary day will be dedicated to cultural programmes featuring Powada and Bhimgeet performances.

A procession will be taken out from the University Gate to the statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at 8 AM on April 14.
