District police have launched a special drive to curb noise pollution from sports bikes and Bullets, following orders from Superintendent of Police Dr. Vinaykumar Rathod. Traffic police targeted 32 riders across Paithan, Vaijapur, Gangapur, Kannad, Sillod, and Phulambri talukas who had fitted illegal modified silencers. All seized silencers were destroyed using a road roller.

Modified silencers, often fitted by young riders, cause extreme noise, disturbing children, elderly, and patients, and distracting other drivers. Dr. Rathod said the operation sends a strict warning, and strict action will continue.

Although similar action last year temporarily reduced the problem, loud bikes are again reported in areas including Cannaught, Chishtiya Colony, Jinsi, Jalna Road, Usmanpura, Dashmesh Nagar, Nirala Bazaar, Aurangpura, and Beed Bypass. Citizens demand sustained enforcement against offenders.
