The district has sought Rs 1,500 crore from the state Finance and Planning Department for the 2026–27 financial year. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will review the proposal in an online meeting on February 12 at 1.20 pm.

Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsat, District Collector Deelip Swami and districy planning officer Bharat Vayal will present the demand. For the current financial year ending March 31, 2026, the district had sought Rs 1,200 crore, of which ₹735 crore was sanctioned and fully received. The administration expects that a demand of ₹1,500 crore may result in approval of at least ₹1,000 crore. Earlier the same day, at 11 am, the District Planning Committee will hold its regular meeting at the District Collector’s Office, chaired by Shirsat. The meeting will review expenditure, compliance and development works, and issue directions to complete pending projects by March 31, 2026.
