Around 540 buses operated by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) in the district require nearly 40,000 litres of diesel every day. Despite ongoing discussions about fuel shortages, officials have clarified that diesel supply to the corporation remains smooth and bus services continue without disruption.

Divisional transport officer Santosh Ghane said adequate stock is available at the Central Bus Stand, Cidco depot, and other depots across the district. While long queues have been seen at city fuel pumps over the past two days, MSRTC operations remain unaffected.

Authorities are closely monitoring fuel stock to ensure uninterrupted services. For now, officials have assured passengers that there is no cause for concern and bus services across urban and rural routes are operating normally.
