State Public Works Minister Shivendraraje Bhosale directed officials not to clear contractors’ bills if trees planted during road and infrastructure works have not survived. The order was issued during a review meeting at the VVIP Subhedari Guest House, where Chief Engineer Atul Chavan presented the department report.

The minister reviewed works under the Central Road Fund, NABARD (5054-03), State Highways (5054-04), district and other roads, including roadside plantation, and sought allocation-wise updates on building projects. He instructed close monitoring of hybrid annuity works and action as per tender conditions against negligence in road maintenance, stressing no compromise on quality. Bhosale expressed satisfaction over works at Ellora Grishneshwar temple precinct, the boys’ mess at the Law University, a 200-bed women’s hospital, a 200-bed hospital in Beed, and the OPD building at SRT Ambajogai. He also directed early renovation of the old government rest house, noting the city’s status as Marathwada’s headquarters with frequent VVIP visits. Superintending Engineer Sunderdas Bhagat proposed a vote of thanks. Executive Engineer Sheshrao Chavan and senior officials were present. The district has been allocated Rs 1,500 crore in the Budget, including Rs 1,100 crore for phased payment of pending bills and Rs 400 crore for development works. The minister assured regular funding ahead.
