Lord Hanuman should not be confined to gym walls as merely a symbol of physical strength, said Swami Govindev Giri Ji Maharaj during the three-day ‘Shri Hanuman Katha’ that began Friday at Tapadiya Kasliwal premises on Adalat Road on Friday.
Organised by mahesh senior citizens’ association and Samanvay Parivar, the event witnessed a large turnout and marks the first Hanuman Katha in the city. He said Hanuman embodies not just strength but also wisdom, strategy, courage and restraint a blend of devotion, power and intellect. His qualities of decisive action in crisis, dedication and fearlessness remain relevant across fields, including corporate leadership and teamwork. A deeper understanding of Hanuman’s character in the Ramayana can help address life’s challenges, he added, noting that Hanuman is regarded as supreme among the wise. The discourse will continue on Saturday and Sunday from 4 pm to 7 pm.

A true worker does not seek the spotlight
Citing an episode after Lord Ram’s coronation in Ayodhya, the Swami said Hanuman remained focused on Ram’s feet rather than recognition. “A sincere worker never seeks the camera; he remains immersed in duty,” he remarked, drawing applause.
