Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Dr Vilas Magarkar, the prominent cardiologist of the city was presented with the prestigious Andreas Gruentzig fellowship which is the most distinguished component of the Academy of Cardiac Interventions, London.
This award is given to the distinguished cardiologist with more than two decades of dedicated skilful work in the field of coronary angioplasty. Andreas Gruentzig was the first cardiologist to perform angioplasty in live humans.
