Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Dr Shashikant Singh, Adventure Incharge at MGM University, has successfully completed a 28-day Basic Mountaineering Course organised by the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS), Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh.

In this training, considered one of the most prestigious and challenging in the country, Dr Singh delivered an outstanding performance and also won the 'Best Rope' Award.

Dr Shashikant Singh completed this training at the Gorichen Glaciers area at an altitude of 16,500 feet in temperatures ranging from minus 8 to minus 10 degrees Celsius. In extremely adverse weather and challenging conditions, he demonstrated exceptional courage, endurance, and discipline. He proved his physical fitness by covering 8 kilometres with a 20 kg load in just 56 minutes.
