Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Dean of Government medical college and hospital (GMCH), Dr Shivaji Sukre, and officer on special duty at the Government Cancer Hospital, Dr Arvind Gaikwad, were honoured with Lifetime Achievement Awards at a ceremony organised on Saturday by the Dr Ambedkar Medicos Association (DAMA).

The function was held at the Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium in GMCH, where the awards were presented by the dean of the Government Medical College, Buldhana Dr Kailas Zhine. Among those present were vice-dean Dr Prabha Khaire, Dr Vinod Mundada, head of the pathology department Dr Bharat Sonawane, Dr Suresh Harbade, Dr Radhey Khetre, Dr Vaishali Une-Lokhande, Dr Nachiket Shere, DAMA president Dr Sameeksha Kamble, vice-president Dr Nishant Kharat, secretary Dr Aditya Isawe, and others.

Plays and songs draw attention

Performances by students, including a play and movement songs, captivated the audience. A large number of students, doctors, and medical staff attended the programme.
