Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Dr Urjit Janardhan Karwande, a teacher from Government College of Education (GCE) was given a farewell in a programme organised at GCE recently on his retirement from the college.

GCE Principal Dr Nalini Chondekar presided over the function. Dr Vanita Ramteke, Dr Gautam Gaikwad, Dr Bhagyashree Subhedar, Dr Rameshwar Padme, Dr Sujata Sonawane and Yogesh Upadhye, Vice President (HR) of Lokmat Group of Newspapers Balaji Muley were present.

Dr Urjit Karwande along with his wife Sharda Karwande was honoured with citation by all the teachers and employees of the college, B Ed, MEd students and researchers.

Apar Ashwini, Sambhaji Kagbe, Mahesh Mundhe, Trupti Shirsat, Amar Vakale, Nazia Sheikh, Dr Samadhan Satav and others expressed their views. Refreshing memories, Dr Padme and Dr Gaikwad expressed their views and presented a video clip on Dr Karwande.
