A family’s dream of a stable and happy life was crushed in a tragic accident on Sunday when a daily wage worker died of electrocution at a construction site. The incident unfolded before his wife, while their six-year-old son watched helplessly from a short distance.

Vishal Chavan lost his life in the mishap at Misarwadi. He and his wife, Chhaya, both worked as labourers to support their family, which includes a son and a daughter. On Sunday, Vishal had taken his wife and young son along to the construction site. Around 3 pm, while the work was nearing completion, he reportedly came in contact with a live electric current and collapsed. Chhaya broke down on seeing her husband in that condition, as fellow workers rushed to help. However, it was too late. The sudden tragedy has left the family devastated, with their young son left grappling with the trauma of witnessing his father’s death.
