What is the case?

The university conducted the PET for PhD admission in 2021. An exemption is given from PET to those who clear an M.Phil. Asma Khan submitted her M.Phil degree in English and Maqsood Khan submitted his M.Phil degree in Hindi from Dr D Y Patil University, Pune to the university to get an exemption from PET. Both got admission to Ph D on the basis of this degree.

After receiving information that the degrees were fake, RPI (Athawale Group) City District President Nagraj Gaikwad contacted Dr D Y Patil University and asked if this degree was given by this university. Then, the university clarified that this course is not being taught at the university.
