An elderly man died in an accident caused by negligent riding of a two-wheeler in Sajapur, an incident that came to light on March 28. A serious case has been registered against the concerned rider.
The accident occurred at around 7:30 am on the road in front of Bhushan Power Company in Sajapur. The accused, Siddharth Nilkanth Patait (resident of Swastik Nagar, Plot No. 39, Sajapur), was allegedly riding his two-wheeler (MH 20 FT 1705) in a negligent manner, leading to the accident.
The victim, Pralhad Rathod, husband of complainant Jayshree Pralhad Rathod (resident of Krishna Galaxy, Virar West, Palghar), sustained serious injuries and later died during treatment, police said.
A case has been registered at MIDC Waluj Police Station on Thursday.
