An elderly man died after being struck by an unknown vehicle near the Grand Sarovar Hotel on the Dhule–Solapur Highway on Thursday.
A case has been registered against the unidentified driver. According to police sources, the accident occurred between 11 am on Wednesday and Thursday near the Grand Sarovar Hotel. The complainant, Kishor Mule (32, laborer, resident of Krodi), reported that his father, Ankushrao Mule, was hit by a speeding unknown vehicle. After the accident, the driver fled the scene without taking the injured man for medical treatment. The impact resulted in the death of the complainant’s father. A case has been filed against the unidentified driver at Waluj MIDC Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
