Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

An Indigo flight from Mumbai to Varanasi made an emergency landing at Chikalthana International Airport around 10 pm on Sunday after an elderly woman onboard died following a sudden health complication.

Soon after departure from Mumbai, the woman began experiencing severe discomfort. The pilot promptly contacted Sambhajinagar airport officials and diverted the flight. Emergency teams were kept on standby. Upon landing, medical personnel examined the passenger but confirmed her death. Following procedures, police conducted a panchnama. After the formalities, arrangements were made to resume the flight to Varanasi. The airline did not respond to queries regarding the incident.
