The post-mortem report has confirmed that elderly woman farmer Sundarabai Jadhav died due to a severe head injury and excessive bleeding after being attacked with a stone, police inspector Samratsing Rajput said. However, even 24 hours after the incident, the police are yet to establish the motive behind the brutal murder.

Jadhav was assaulted while working in her field in Shekta village, triggering shock and fear among residents. The local crime branch and Karmad police have registered a case of murder against an unidentified person and launched an investigation to trace the accused and determine the circumstances leading to the crime. Her last rites were performed on Sunday at around 2 pm at the village cremation ground in a grief-stricken atmosphere. The incident has left the village and surrounding areas in mourning, with police intensifying efforts to identify the perpetrator and uncover the reason behind the killing.
