Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

An elderly woman working in her field was brutally murdered by being struck on the head with a large stone, this incident came to light on Saturday evening around 4 pm at Shekta (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar tehsil).

The deceased has been identified as Sundarabai (alias Laxmibai) Jadhav (75, Shekta). She is working in her field at Gut No. 19. Passersby found her lying in a pool of blood with severe head injuries caused by a large stone. Karmad Police were immediately informed, rushed to the scene, and prepared a panchanama. The body was sent to Government Medical College and Hospital(GMCH) for post-mortem. A forensic team and dog squad are investigating the crime scene. A murder case has been registered against an unknown person. The investigation is being led by police inspector Samratsing Rajput along with his team. Sundarabai had no known enmity with anyone in the village, making the motive unclear. Police Inspector Rajput stated the murder's mystery will be revealed after the post-mortem report. The incident has created fear and grief throughout the village and surrounding area. She is survived by two sons and grandchildren.
