Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Following the intense campaign period of the municipal corporation elections, several candidates experienced physical exhaustion and were seen seeking medical treatment on Saturday. Continuous campaigning, door-to-door visits, voter interactions, planning activities and the mental pressure leading up to the results reportedly affected the health of some candidates.

Uddhav sena candidate Vaishali Rameshwar Korde, who won from Prabhag no. 25, shared details through a social media post. She stated that due to relentless campaigning and the rush following the declaration of results, both she and her husband suffered health issues. On doctors’ advice, they were admitted to hospital for treatment. After receiving medical care, she is currently resting and has assured that she will soon resume public service.

Defeated BJP candidate

In the election, Vaishali Korde secured 9,642 votes, defeating BJP candidate Savita Ghadmode by a margin of 2,514 votes.
