Aurangabad, Nov 12:

The employees of the all three electricity companies during a gate meeting on Thursday threatened to initiate a strike on November 14 to press various demands including bonus and ex-gratia. Hence, the electricity distribution system is likely to collapse during Diwali.

The officials of the electricity board conducted an online meeting with all the officials of various organization to discuss the issue of bonus and ex-gratia funds. The administration told them that this year the employees cannot get the bonus and ex-gratia funds. Hence, the officials organized a gate meeting at the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) Aurangabad Circle Office to discuss further action.

Syed Zaihiroddin, R P Thorat, Tarachand Kolhe, Arun Piwal, Tushar Bhosale, D S Jaival, Pandurang Pathade, Ashok Baibhase, Sanjay Khade, Akshay Padaswan, Sudhakar Jayebhaye, Navnath Pawar and others were present. The employees shouted slogans during the meeting. They stated that the bonus is the employees'' right and they have worked day and night even during the Corona Crisis, they said. The leaders appealed to all the employees to participate in the strike on November 14 in large numbers.
