Aurangabad, Jan 30:

Members of Shivsangram will hold an Elgar convention at Sasht Pimpalgaon in Jalna, at 11 am, on February 7 in protest against the State Government and district guardian minister Rajesh Tope for not taking notice of Maratha reservation agitation.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, legislator Vinayak Mete said that this would be an aggressive agitation to express Maratha community members' displeasure.

“What will be done on February 7, I will not disclose now. There Elgar conventions will also be organised at Nanded against Ashokrao Chavan, at Nagpur against Nitin Raut and Anil Deshmukh, at Mumbai against Varsha Gaikwad and Anil Parab, at Baramati against Sharad Pawar, to draw their attention the towards the reservation,” he said.

Vinayak Mete said that the political leaders become ministers, earn wealth and create domination based on Martha community votes. The ministers who started recruitment in their department are killer of Maratha community,” he asserted.

He said that if Sharad Pawar looks into the matter, it would be resolved, why he does not look into the case, is a question.

“The Government should take notice of Sasht Pimpalgaon immediately and postpone MPSC examinations. Harish Salve should be included in the reservation hearing in the Supreme Court. The hearing should be held before nine-member bench than five-member. The Government has not brought all the reservation leaders nor discussed with us anything,” he lamented.

Kishor Chavan, Salim Patel, Balasaheb Bhagnure, Laxman Navle, Sachin Misal, Viraj Jogand, Nagesh Dandait and others were present at the briefing.
