Nanded, Oct 6:

An English teacher with Girls High School in Ardhapur has been camping, along with his family members, in the school itself since Monday demanding his salary due for the past 11 years.

Despite repeated pleas made to the school authorities and education department and approaching court of law, the teacher, Bhaskar Lokhande, has not been paid for the past 11 years.

Fed up with the harassment, Lokhande started camping in the school itself on Monday. In the hope of getting full salary after the school starts receiving grant-in-aid from the government, he has been working for the past 11 years. His wife died after a prolonged illness. Somehow, he was meeting his daily expenses by taking private tuition, but for the last six months, he has been unable to do it because of the coronavirus restrictions.

While talking to media, the frustrated teacher said he was not going to leave the school building until he was paid the due salary.
