At the AI Summit, Deepak Mahurkar highlighted that enterprise digitalisation is the essential foundation for leveraging AI effectively. He noted that nearly 70–90 per cent of AI projects fail due to poor data availability and quality, stressing that organisations must first build strong digital systems before adopting AI solutions. Functions such as finance, HR, and trade are witnessing faster AI success due to structured and accessible data.

Mahurkar explained that industries like manufacturing often struggle with AI implementation because of fragmented or manually recorded data. Citing real-world examples, he demonstrated how AI-powered predictive analytics and digital twins can help enterprises anticipate equipment failures, reduce operational losses, and improve decision-making through timely, data-driven insights.
