Aurangabad, March 3:

An accused frequently teasing a class tenth girl going to coaching classes threatened her father with a knife while he tried to chase the accused at Gajanannagar in Pundliknagar area on March 2 at around 7 pm.

The accused, Rishikesh Palodkar (Pundliknagar) is a hardcore criminal on the police record, and a case in this regard has been registered at the Pundliknagar police station against him.

Police said a girl studying in class tenth goes to a coaching class with her friend every evening. Accused Rishikesh used to follow and tease her for the past few days. However, the girls ignored him. On March 1, Rishikesh stopped the girl on the way, due to which she was afraid. She told about it to her father. Her father decided to lodge a complaint at the police station the next day. However, as he came late from the office, he could not go to the police station. On the same day, while the girl and her friend were returning from the tuition classes, Rishikesh and one of his accomplices stopped her and held her hand. The girl was afraid due to this sudden incident and started shouting. Rishikesh and his accomplice started running towards Hindurashtra Chowk.

Meanwhile, victim’s father and uncle came out of the house and chased the accused. However, Rishikesh threatened them with a knife, due to which her father and uncle returned. After this incident, the girl’s father went to the Pundliknagar police station and lodged a complaint. The police have started the investigation, and the accused is a hardcore criminal on the police record, informed API, Ghansham Sonawane.
