Every article in the Indian Constitution reflects Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s thoughts and vision, said noted thinker Dr. Dhanraj Dahat. He was speaking at a lecture organised by Bodhisattva Pratishthan on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti at the Dr. Na. Go. Nandapurkar Hall on Sunday evening.

Dr. Dahat said Dr. Ambedkar was the first Indian to earn a degree in economics from abroad and had a clear, balanced approach while drafting the Constitution. At the Round Table Conference, he firmly demanded that the British leave India. Dahat also emphasised that true wisdom comes from character and a calm mind, which Ambedkar embodied. He further said that Dr. Ambedkar wanted to extend reservation benefits to the Maratha community, but the 96-Kuli classification created hurdles. He clarified that the 50% reservation limit is not a constitutional provision but a Supreme Court judgment, which can be revised. Dr. Sanjay Moon, Archana Ganveer, and Advocate Kishor Dongre were also present at the event.
