Experts team starts quality test newly 6 constructed roads

Aurangabad, Feb 27:

Administrator of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation Astik Kumar Pandey appointed an expert team to check the construction quality of 16 roads in the city. It may be noted that 23 roads were constructed from Rs 152 crore.

Of them, nine roads are being developed by AMC, seven by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) and seven by Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC).

It has come to light that the quality of the road is not good.

Astik Kumar Pandey inspected a road construction and found sub-standard quality blocks were being used for the road divider.

The administrator got completed panchama and sent back the material. He started a probe of 16 road works.

The AMC and MSRDC sent a letter to the Government College of Engineering to check the road works' quality.

The MIDC has not sent the letter to the college yet.

The team has three experts-P B Murnal from the Civil Department of the college, R M Damgir and J K Patil. They will inspect widths, length, side drain and road thickness.
